We are delighted to announce that we have gained preferred rights to Korbyt in the UK education space.
Combining a mobile application, intelligent wayfinding, interactive and personalised signage, and integration with university data systems and real-world triggers such as proximity cards, beacons and camera feeds, Korbyt represents a new generation of visual communications. The platform offers a more engaged, interactive and intimate communications experience whether it enables live timetabling on a student’s mobile device, live maps to campus events that update in real time, or kiosks that allow video calls to campus reception and security. Using the companion mobile application, KorbytGo, push notifications such as room changes, severe weather warnings or special offers at the student union bar can be instantly received.
Toni Barnett, managing director at CDEC, said: “RMG Networks were looking for a partner to break into other vertical markets, being strong themselves in the Retail and Contact Centre spaces, and as soon as we were introduced to Korbyt, we instantly saw the potential of the product for the education sector.
“Korbyt has real value in student recruitment, retention and alumni engagement, as well as staff communications and relationships with the local community. It offers a more engaging and interactive signage experience allowing voting and surveys, and providing real feedback helps differentiate universities at open days and makes prospective students and visitors feel part of the conversation from day one. The ability to instantly message year groups, classes, cohorts and departments improve university communication, helps students and staff feel looked after and allows two-way engagement directly on their own mobile devices.”
Martyn Barnett at RMG said: “With their strong reputation across the education sector and UK-wide reach across multiple frameworks and purchasing consortium, we believe CDEC are uniquely placed to work side by side with RMG Networks to revolutionise how education customers talk to their students, staff, visitors, alumni and local communities through their visual communications.
“With its powerful data integration engine, open standards API and ultra-modern web interface, Korbyt is set to change how the education sector approaches its communication across the campus and beyond, and we’re thrilled to have CDEC onboard to help drive this change.”
