CDEC Ltd supported Becta with supplying and supporting future-proofed XGA (1024x768 pixels) projectors (although CDEC are able to source and supply SVGA (800x600 pixels) projectors, we do recommend their use as this can result in performance penalties when using an XGA computer).
CDEC Ltd offer both DLP (Digital Light Processing) and LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projectors. The benefits of DLP are that the pixels are closer together (improving video performance), better contrast is possible, they are generally smaller and more portable (fewer components) and are believed to last longer. The benefits of LCD are brighter images for the same lamp wattage, more saturated colours and sharper image.
