CDEC Limited are based in Orpington, Kent and are Education Solution Providers, supplying and installing Interactive Whiteboards, Projectors and Video Conferencing Equipment to the public sector in the South East of England.
The company was formed in November 2000 by Andy Duckworth. Andy’s background was as an ICT Manager and senior teacher at Swan Valley Secondary School. Andy subsequently moved into the private sector with Bromcom Computers, a supplier of Electronic registers to the Education sector. Andy has developed the business with an ingrained commitment to the quality of service and performance throughout the life of the sales process ensuring that the majority of our business is with well-established Education customers who appreciate the value of having an AV partner that is able and willing to respond to the customers needs at a moments notice and always through to conclusion. This policy of developing a service-based ethos combined with an efficient purchasing strategy (enabling CDEC to receive the best available pricing from a number of manufacturers) was vindicated in 2003 when CDEC Ltd was awarded Becta approval (http://whiteboards.becta.org.uk/index.php?i=8&p=1) as a supplier, installer and supporter of whiteboard/projector solutions after a rigorous tendering process which included a bid proposal, installation of evaluation equipment and evaluated training session. *It should be noted that, as standard, CDEC Ltd offer all of our customers the same enhanced service levels required by Becta. From this base (CDEC are currently partnering with a number of South East LEAs including Bromley, Merton, Croydon, Kent, West Sussex, East Sussex, Bexley, Medway, Thurrock and Wandsworth), CDEC Ltd has grown into a 20-strong, £ 4Million annual turnover company with a strategy to being a £ 10Million turnover company by 2010 (CDEC has already acquired a number of commercial properties around our Orpington offices and has an active policy of recruiting educational specialists who are fully committed to and fully understand the unique needs of education customers). |
